About me
My name is Michael Abdul-Masih and currently I am a La Caixa Junior Leader Fellow at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) in Spain. My astronomy career began in Pennsylvania, USA at Villanova University, where I completed my undergraduate education (BSc) in May of 2014 with majors in Astronomy & Astrophysics and Biochemistry. I then completed my Masters degree (MSc) in Astrophysics in December of 2015 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. In the fall of 2016, I moved to Belgium where I completed my PhD in Astronomy at KU Leuven in May of 2020. From there, I moved to ESO Chile as a postdoctoral fellow, where I was the XSHOOTER instrument fellow and supported UT3. In December 2023, I began as a La Caixa Fellow at the IAC.
